Support for Normal Glucose Levels
Supplemental source of this important phospholipid which is a structural part of biologic membranes. Phosphatidylserine is involved in signal transduction activity, and may positively impact cognition.
GlucoBalance is a versatile, balanced multiple vitamin and mineral combination formulated by Dr. Alan Gaby and Dr. Jonathan Wright. In addition, it contains several nutrients essential for glucose metabolism including: 1,000 mcg of chromium (as aspartate) – required for GTF (Glucose Tolerance Factor), niacin– a vital component of GTF, niacinamide – which is necessary for producing NAD (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide) in insulin secreting pancreatic B cells, biotin – essential for glucose phosphorylation by hepatic glucokinase, the first step in glucose utilization, and antioxidants such as vitamin E and selenium.
Why you may need GlucoBalance. Type II diabetics, sometimes called non-insulin dependent diabetes, age-onset or adult-onset diabetes, is the form of diabetes that occurs most often in people who are overweight and/or do not exercise. It is also common in people of Native American, Hispanic, and African-American descent. Type 2 diabetes is a chronic condition that affects the way your body metabolizes sugar (glucose), your body's main source of fuel. The body may make insulin, but it either doesn’t make enough or can’t properly use the insulin it makes to control the level of sugar in the blood. As a result, little or no sugar gets into the body’s cells - this causes the sugar to build up in the blood. The consequences of uncontrolled Type II diabetes are just as serious as those for Type I, as is the risk of developing chronic complications including: nerve and blood vessel damage affecting eyes, heart, limbs, kidneys, and stomach.
Fortunately research has been able to isolate specific nutrients known to be responsible for increasing the body’s ability to use the insulin it does make. For instance chromium is a cofactor in the production of Glucose Tolerance Factor (GTF), which acts as a sort of gate-keeper that opens the doors to let insulin into the cells. Vanadium has insulin like effects on the liver and muscles helping to reduce blood sugar levels. Studies have shown that magnesium increases sensitivity to insulin and people with Type 2 Diabetes usually have very low levels of this and most other minerals. Other nutrients such as zinc, copper, manganese, selenium, L-carnitine along with B vitamins as co-factors have also been clinically shown to successfully help manage Type 2 Diabetes as well.
Research has clearly demonstrated that diet alone may not supply nutrients in sufficient amounts necessary for overall good health. Many studies support the use of dietary supplementation to ensure adequate consumption of important nutrients. A growing number of doctors, researchers, and nutritional experts agree that supplementation is important to protect against common deficiencies, many of which have been linked to unwanted chronic conditions, and to provide support for optimal physical and mental wellness. Therefore, for generalized well-being, a complete multi-vitamin and mineral formula is required to ensure that the nutritional basics are covered. Compounding the widespread need for dietary support, modern diets, heavy in sugars, carbohydrates, and saturated fats have resulted in widespread glucose dysregulation issues. Effective regulation of blood glucose has important implications for health. Even mild disruptions of glucose homeostasis can have adverse consequences. Chronic diabetes may result in cardiovascular disease, neuropathy, blindness, or renal failure. Hypoglycemia (also called reactive hypoglycemia or dysinsulinism), though not generally associated with the organ damage seen in diabetes, can be responsible for a number of troublesome physical and psychological symptoms. GlucoBalance™ was specifically formulated to support normal glucose levels.
GlucoBalanceis an excellent synergistic vitamin/mineral formula developed by two medical doctors, Jonathan Wright and Alan Gaby, designed to treat, diabetics and patients with carbohydrate sensitivity. It is a high potency glucose metabolism formula with vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B6, B12, C, D, and E, calcium, magnesium, zinc, copper, manganese, selenium, vanadium and 1000mcg of GTF chromium with additional synergistic nutrients.
Suggested Use Two (2) to six (6) capsules each day with meals as a dietary supplement or as otherwise directed by a healthcare professional.
